Overview
App where artificial intelligence writes and evolves music live. Every track is represented by code that plays in real time, and stays visible on screen throughout the performance. In one mode of use, the AI drives the session on its own; in another, the user takes over and the AI suggests variations.
The problem
AI-generated music tends to be opaque to the user, who receives finished audio without understanding how it was made. Pulse City exposes the code live. Every decision made by the AI is visible, editable and reproducible by anyone.
Approach
Brings together on a single screen a real-time editor with inline visuals, a composition and evolution layer driven by artificial intelligence, a spectrum analyzer with waveform and beat detection, and the ability to save, load and share patterns through a public URL.
